Socialization of Decision Support Systems to Build Data-Based Decisions

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out to increase the understanding of Tangerang City Techno Media High School students regarding the use of data in decision-making through the Decision Support System (SPK). This topic was chosen because the results of the initial interview showed that participants still experienced limitations in understanding data processing as a basis for decision-making. The activity was carried out through material presentations, workshops/practical training, questions and answers, and group discussions. Evaluation was carried out by comparing participants' understandings before and after socialization and through a survey of technology acceptance. The results showed that the understanding of the benefits of data increased from 40% to 85%, while 70% of students stated that they were more comfortable using technology and software for data analysis. The activity also encouraged student involvement and confidence in applying data to real situations. These results showed that SPK socialization was effective as a first step in building data-based decision-making skills in the school environment.
