Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance public knowledge about infectious tropical diseases, the importance of early detection, and the application of a fuzzy logic-based expert system for diagnosing tropical diseases. The service was carried out through socialization, training, and simulation of the use of an application to detect the symptoms of tropical diseases. As a result, there was an increase in the community's knowledge about tropical diseases, as well as a positive reception towards the use of technology for early diagnosis. The community also showed a shift in attitude, becoming more open to technology, with 75% of participants expressing their willingness to use the application as a diagnostic tool. This activity successfully reduced healthcare costs through quicker and more accurate early detection. Although there were challenges related to technology literacy, this expert system can be expanded to detect more tropical diseases and could have a greater impact in the future.
