Introducing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Improve Students' Digital Competence SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Medan

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires students to have good digital competencies to face the era of technological transformation. One rapidly developing technology is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has been applied in various fields, including education. However, students' understanding of AI is still relatively limited. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to introduce the basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence to improve the digital competency of students at SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Medan. The implementation method is carried out through socialization, material delivery, interactive discussions, demonstrations of the use of AI-based applications, and simple practices. The material covers the definition of AI, the application of AI in everyday life, the benefits of AI in education, and the ethics of using digital technology. The results of the activity show an increase in students' understanding and interest in Artificial Intelligence technology. Students also have a better understanding of the wise and productive use of digital technology. This activity is expected to help improve students' digital literacy and competency in facing technological developments in the modern era.
